The Joy of Sake celebrates Hawaiʻi’s 150-year love affair with sake, starting with the early days of Japanese immigration and continuing to the present day. This year marks the 20th anniversary of what’s become the biggest annual sake celebration in the US, featuring 576 different sakes in peak condition together with traditional and contemporary sake appetizers from top Hawaiʻi chefs. The admission fee includes appetizers from participating restaurants and unlimited samplings of sake.

The Joy of Sake celebrates good sake, good food and good friends. Participating restaurants distinguish themselves not only by their outstanding cuisine, but also by their appreciation of the luster that fine sakes add to a meal. The restaurants below participated in 2022.
