This year The Joy of Sake is moving makai to a seaside venue at the Sheraton Waikiki. The hotel's three air-conditioned ballrooms and spacious foyer will provide plenty of room for sampling this year's 326 entries and sake appetizers from 14 participating restaurants.
The kick-off party for this year's event will be held at Chai's Island Bistro, the only restaurant to participate in every Joy of Sake since 2001. We'll follow a looser format this time, with a brief tasting session and lots of time for sake socializing. Tickets for The Joy of Sake on Sept. 9 will go on sale at a special price, and donation sake will be available for the last time. Last of all, please visit the volunteer desk if you can help with sorting and set-up this year.
Reservations may be made online through the following link: Aftertaste Hawaii Online Ticket Purchase or call Pua at 222-0195. All sales are final and attendance is limited to 80 persons.
